Dancer, choreographer and teacher, he is part of the first generation of Italian Butoh dancers. He began his interest in Butoh dance in ‘96, as an evolution of heartfelt theatrical research. He studied in Europe and Japan, training with the most representative teachers: Pierpaolo Koss, Ko Murobushi, Masaki Iwana, Min Tanaka, Kazuo and Yoshito Ohno, Akiko Motofuji, Akira Kasai, and also studied and worked with Enzo Cosimi, Lindsay Kemp, Dominique Dupuy.
The desire to deepen his training has led him to travel the world and investigate in depth the history of the body and dance among different peoples: America, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.
Since 2000 he has carried out an intense artistic and didactic activity in Italy and abroad (England, Spain, France, Germany, Switzerland, Holland, Austria, Hungary, USA).
In 2001 he founded the research group NON COMPANY, which investigates the hidden meanings of Butoh dance, probing the roots of the history and culture of the body in Italy.
Danzatore, coreografo e docente fa parte della prima generazione di danzatori Butoh italiani. Inizia ad interessarsi alla danza Butoh nel ‘96, come evoluzione di una sentita ricerca teatrale. Studia in Europa ed in Giappone formandosi con gli insegnanti più rappresentativi: Pierpaolo Koss, Ko Murobushi, Masaki Iwana, Min Tanaka, Kazuo e Yoshito Ohno, Akiko Motofuji, Akira Kasai, ed inoltre studia e lavora con Enzo Cosimi, Lindsay Kemp, Dominique Dupuy.
Il desiderio di approfondimento della sua formazione lo ha portato a viaggiare in tutto il mondo e indagare a fondo la storia del corpo e della danza tra i diversi popoli: America, Asia, Medio Oriente, Africa.
Fin dal 2000 esercita un intensa attività artista e didattica in Italia e all’estero (Inghilterra, Spagna, Francia, Germania, Svizzera, Olanda, Austria, Ungheria, Stati Uniti).
Nel 2001 fonda la compagine di ricerca NON COMPANY che si occupa di investigare i significati reconditi la danza Butoh, sondando le radici della storia e della cultura del corpo in Italia.
