Gil was born in Israel and, fascinated by the world of fashion design, decides at the age of 22 to move to Milan and enrol in the European Institute of Design.

After completing his studies, he starts working for some fashion houses including Dolce & Gabbana and Roberto Cavalli with the role of textile, embroidery and graphic arts designer.

His approach to colour begins at a young age and his experience in the world of fashion helps to refine his way of perceiving colour and to realize his concept of chromatic harmony.

The greatest source of inspiration in his works is the human being; the people he casually meets and their interaction with the surrounding world, a world he looks for in situations of absolute everyday life, of spontaneity. He freezes the moments and leaves the observer the space to create his own intimate and connected scenario.

The production of him during the long days of lockdown, thanks to the loneliness, is enriched and multiplied. He begins to experiment using new colours, shapes and materials different from those on which he had always worked and all this happens in a way without expectations, fluid and spontaneous. He unknowingly pushes himself into a transition phase towards the truest self and states “For the first time after years I had to portray other people's DNA I started my own journey to find my own DNA”.
